Merrimack Junior Theatre was incorporated in December of 1987. It
was founded by a small group of individuals who are dedicated to
realizing the dream of a children's theatre in Andover. It
is run by a permanent board of trustees.
MJT's first production in March of 1988, "Tumbleweeds",
was a small-scale, low-budget production. Since then, drawing
on a rich base of local talent, we have produced such major shows
as "Bye, Bye Birdie", "The
Sound of Music", "Oliver", "Hello Dolly", "Fiddler
on the Roof", "The King and I" and "Music Man".
With each year, our experience, expertise, and resources expand. We
are now confident in our ability to grow and prosper as a children's theatre.
We acknowledge that we owe much of our success to the continued
support of many talented community parents and their children. |
